Elite Squad Change of Venue

Hi

I am dissapointed to tell you that the Waltham Abbey venue has been made unavailable to us.

The reason is that the council feel our exact slot should be given to a grassroots club. Of course I was annoyed with this and tried to demonstrate our value to local young people but they disagreed as we are not a grassroots club. Despite the fact that the fees at said grassroots club are higher than ours………. You can imagine my frustration at the councils lack of understanding of football/sports development. Still we move on.

The closest venue with a similar level (actually better!) of facility is at Boreham Wood Football Club. The venue is a brand new astro with a bar on the side. We have agreed today to hire this venue on Saturdays (sorry this couldn’t have been organsied sooner).

Please park at Brook Road, Borehamwood, WD6 5HH.

The pitch is situated behind the main stand of the stadium.

The training times will be as follows;

U7 to U11, first session 12.15pm to 1.15pm on Saturday 16th September 2017.

U12 to U14, first session 1.15pm to 2.15pm on Saturday 16th September 2017.

For our U15 squads and up will now train on the other alternate week.

U15 to U18, first session 12.15pm – 2.15pm on Saturday 23rd September 2017 – this decision has been taken to allow our U15s the chance to step up to U18 level when ready.

(These age groups are based on 2017/18, new season, age groups)
