Zion has already hit the headlines, first moving at 13 from Millwall to Crystal Palace for around £60k, and now with a host of clubs from England and Europe chasing him before he can sign a professional contract.
Zion has developed over the past couple of seasons into Crystal Palace’s biggest youth asset, and no doubt there will also be an international scramble between Ivory Coast, Italy and England for the youngster.
Zion will primarily play on the left wing, although right footed, he plays with power and pace and is the modern day tricky winger with amazing ball mastery and attacking 1v1 skills. Zion is an excellent mover, covers ground rapidly, and also possess a quick football brain. More often than not Zion prefers to come inside and shoot. He is a match winner!
Zion will be compared to his club mate Wilfred Zaha who is an excellent role model for him to follow. Zion will also switch to the right, play in the 10 role, or can play as a central striker. Over the next couple of years his biggest challenge may be keeping his feet on the ground and deciding whether to stay at Palace and make his way through there, or risk it, at a big club.
