Samuel Iling-Junior is one of the hottest prospects at Chelsea, as a first year scholar playing up with the 23s.
Generally Junior operates on the left wing, or on the left of midfield or at left wing back, depending on the team shape. His best moments come as he drivers down the left and explodes past opponents. He will aim to get a well weighted pass into his striker which he often does. The type of cut back you now see in every Premier League game. He also has a wicked shot on him and will generally take free kicks and corners for his teams.
He is a really effective player, you don’t see him waste possession, or running randomly all over the pitch. He keeps the pitch nice and wide and helps his team dominate the game.
Junior is well establish now in his England group and is seen as a key play in an amazing year group.
As pathways become increasingly blocked in England a host of European clubs are chasing Iling. Paris Saint Germain, Schalke and Ajax are the hottest names tipped to go for the winger. Im sure other clubs will join the list. Chelsea have tried to establish place in the first team for young players, but with Hudson-Odoi already blocking his path he may try a different route to the top.
