I would say Mason is doing ok, notching 50 first team appearances for Man Utd at 18, that’s not too bad right?
Mason came from Bradford, and joined Manchester development centre in Halifax at the age of six, signing for the club at U9, and nothing has stopped him since. As he climbed the academy ladder it was clear he was a big talent but with him being quite small there was a little bit of doubt if he could make a big impact at a big club.
Well he has proved a lot of people wrong there.
Mason at 15 he was with the 18s, at 16 the 23s, and at 17 he made his first team debut. Flying I think you could say.
Mason almost glides across the field, he plays quickly, and he uses both feet, he decision making looks effortless and his ability to put the ball in the back of the net is astonishing. With those first 50 appearances also comes 16 goals and 5 assists.
He is pretty versatile he can play across the front line, he loves to drop a corner, use cuts and feints, and he has real explosive speed. Ultimately he will most likely end up as a striker because that goal scoring talent is very hard to find.
He looks to have developed a real hunger to score goals, at 18 he has a desire to push himself, and he inspire senior pro’s around him. Mason is an impressive young person and the world is at his feet.
