Jobe Bellingham

It would be very easy to rewrite Jude’s profile, as the older brother, Jude has flown through the ranks at Birmingham and is now establishing himself at Dortmund in Germany.

Jobe’s early years story will follow the same path, signing at U9 for Birmingham, and becoming a stand out player at the club’s academy. Jobe’s name has been thrust into the limelight because of his brother but he has enough ability to hold his own stage.

Jobe was included straight away into the 2005 England squad making his debut at St Georges Park against Ireland at the end of 2019. Jobe certainly shares the quick feet, excellent movement skills, and vision of play with Jude but I feel he may be a better player in the final third. Rather than being a deeper player who sets the tempo, he can be a direct, attacking player, with ability to score goals.

Most commonly he will play as a right winger, for England he played in the left wing position, but ultimately he could become a striker as he breaks through into mens football.

At 14 he played for Birmingham’s 18s, at 15 he is scoring for the 18s… I am sure his progress will continue, going into Birminghams U23 side and then the first team within the next 18 months. Pressure may come to move, but so far the family have shown they have a good understanding of the game, and how best to support Jobe on his pathway to pro.
