Appiah was born in Amsterdam, before moving to Nottingham in England when he was six-years old, by 9 he was signed at Nottingham Forest. He made his debut for forest at 17, scoring as a late subsitute. But with a change of manger appearances were limited, he played 6 times in the 18/19 season and on transfer deadline day in September 2019 he moved to LaLiga 2 (Segunda División) side Almeria for a reported £8million.
He’s done well with the England youth teams being called up at U15, and playing plenty of minutes through U16 to U19. The season with Almeria he got 22 games mainly at right wing, not bad for 19.
Arvin is a small and quick left footed player, he likes to lure a defend in and burst past them, and being a lefty on the right really likes to cut back and move the ball with his left foot. His right foot is well develop for control and he likes to move with lots of touches, he’s really sharp, and an effective player in the final third.
Since being in Spain Arvin has worked a lot on his body conditioning and is developing a strong upper body, he is constantly pressing trying to win the ball back, he gets fouled a lot, and could be a shrewd bit of business for Almeria who’s target is to get back in La Liga.
