Hot on the heels of Phil Foden, Taylor is another boy born and bread in Stockport, thriving at Manchester City. Taylor came from the same team as Phil starting out with City at six years of age and eventually signing at U9.
Taylor was giving his Manchester City debut age 17 and before his 18th birthday he had an appearance in the league cup, fa cup and champions league to his name. He is yet to play in a league match but his progress is good and there is a pathway at City for a centre back.
Taylor is tall and looks like your traditional centre back. It’s a great achievement for a club to bring a local boy, you supports the club, and can lead at centre back, Taylor could be that main for City.
His speed is not bad and he is not easily turned, he generally tried to knick the ball on the front foot on the floor and again in the air generally tries to win the ball in front of the attacker. He reads the game well and has a real passion for defending, I am sure we will see him celebrating a tackle in the Premier League!
