Darko could be seen as a late developer, originally from Catford he played for Cray Wanderers 8-11 whilst flirting with Chelsea. He was eventually snapped up by Millwall where he soared through the ranks often playing two years up.
At 14 he was possibly one of the most in demand youngsters in the country and chose to sign for Man City where he reportedly joined for £300k. In reality with add on that could go a lot more possibly up to £1million.
Darko usually plays in a central role and specialises now in the holding midfield position. He is strong, tall, and well disciplined but he can play!!
He is right footed and will often be seen playing a lovely ball between defenders with the outside of his foot. He seems to always get the weight and angle of his pass spot on. When many of the other top talents born in 2004 are players who fit the 7, 10, or 11 position Darko is a bit of a rare breed.
He’s a popular member of his team and will be the first on the scene to celebrate a goal with his team mates. Often a hefty price tag on a 14 year olds head comes with negative press about being difficult but I am sure Darko will shift that tag as he comes through at City.
